I am very aware of the toll stress and the disruption of lifestyle can be on fat loss. These last few days have been exhausting. I have not slept nearly enough and I am drinking coffee like it is going out of style.
Stress causes a hormonal response that can cause fat retention...coffee is acidic and that causes a bodily response of fat retention. I have not been drinking my 200 ounces of water, so I am dehydrated. Lack of sleep inhibits recovery and fat loss, luckily it has been five days since my last work out.
I had to really look to find smart choices for food. I haven't left the hospital in days, so finding the smart choices has been critical. Even with my alcohol binge the other day, my caloric intake averages 2300 calories for the week.
On the upside, the dehydration and high blood pressure have me walking the halls a vascular freakshow...which I think is pretty cool.
Also, I bumped into a person who's kids I used to baby-sit, she didn't recognize me from the 300lb tubby she knew before :)
